Masks

Your Furry Face

Hey there! Back from Further Confusion, and over several days of exhaustion that followed… we’re here with more furry news for you! Things like… Eirewolf Creations is the home of the artist Erin Metcalf. Her specialty is carved and painted leather masks in the style of many animals, both real and imagined. As you can see at her web site she also creates decorated eye patches, cuff bracelets and other goodies. Now she’s been showing her works at furry conventions also.

Cover Your Face — Or All The Rest of You!

The artist known as Jillor has made quite a name for herself designing, creating, and even repairing full-body fur-suits. So popular is her work that (as you can see from her web site) her commission docket is full up from now through 2018! Interesting side note though: She also has an entire other web site dedicated to her feral dance masks as well. Each and every mask is custom designed by Jillor (under the name Mercury Pale) for the wearer.

Yes It’s Only a Paper Mask

Hello! Back from Further Confusion 2017 with lots to talk about. Starting off with a whole new way to get yourself a head for your anthropomorphic costume! Tetra Variations is a company started by a fan who goes by the name of Mr. T-Rex. (He’s working hard on making that Dr. T-Rex, which is a scary thought.) For now he specializes in creating geometric patterns which you can purchase for download, print out on your own stiff paper, then cut and paste into masks, puppets, toys, and other useful items. Dinosaurs are a specialty, but as you can see from his store there are lots of other animals to be found as well. Sign up for his newsletter and he’ll also let you know when new designs come out.

Primal Visions Design Studio

Once again, their web site says it best: “Primal Visions Design Studios specializes in high performance creature costumes and effects, with an emphasis on naturalistic animals. We make fine animal and creature masks, costumes and effects for stage, film, television, tradeshows and the occasional well-to-do eccentric.” They also make costume and weapon accessories for their fur-suit creations, and they have created a line of post cards and even calendar projects to help advertise what they do. Their gallery at www.primalvisions.com is extensive, so check out what they’ve done.
